CODI ORIGINS
Our founder Bill Jones established CODI with a straightforward idea: if you build it right and provide value, people will trust you with their next purchase. Still, the early days were lean. There were Greyhound buses taken when there wasn't money for airfare, and projects won on Bill's reputation and credibility alone. That era shaped everything about how this company operates today.
Over the decades, CODI built deep expertise in industrial automation and material handling equipment for the beverage packaging industry. We designed and built canning lines, tunnel pasteurizers, palletizers, and conveyance systems for some of the most demanding production environments in North America and Asia. We were an integral part of the craft beverage boom of the 2010s. But the truth is we learned manufacturing the hard way: by doing it, fixing it, and doing it better the next time.
That foundation is what brought us to power distribution.

Our previous facility in Golden.
WHY POWER DISTRIBUTION?
We didn't enter this space because it was convenient. We entered it because we recognized the same conditions we had seen before: a fast-growing industry with significant infrastructure demand, served by suppliers whose manufacturing capabilities weren't keeping pace with what customers actually needed.
Most companies in the UL891 space came up from the electrical side and built toward manufacturing. We are the opposite. We are a manufacturer first, and we have spent the last 30 years getting very good at it.
We have been accepted into OEM programs with two major breaker manufacturers. That didn't happen because we asked nicely. It happened because we demonstrated the capability and the commitment to do something worth investing in.
THE CODI WAY
Instead of a vague corporate mission statement, we abide by what we call The CODI Way. You won't find a poster with bullet points describing it, but you will see it in everything we do.
"The answer is not, 'no, we can't do that.' It's, 'yeah, we do that.'"
JARED JONES, CEO
Accountability is the baseline expectation for everyone, including leadership. Opportunity isn't earned by degrees or titles, it's earned by effort. We empower people and give them real ownership: if you want to run the project, it's yours.
"I'm never going to ask you to do something I myself am not willing to do."
JARED JONES, CEO
There are no sidelines at CODI. Whatever needs to get done gets done by whoever is there to do it.

"We're going to give you the honest answer, even if it may eliminate us from the project."

"Word of mouth is always going to win. People listen to their friends."

BUILT FOR GENERATIONS
The phrase has a few meanings to us. That is intentional.
01
Machinery Built to Last
We abhor the notion of planned obsolescence. That is not our way. As proof: many conveyance systems we installed 30 years ago are still operational today. Our equipment is engineered to last a generation or more.
02
2nd Generation Leadership
There are no sidelines at CODI. Whatever needs to get done gets done by whoever is there to do it. This is a value passed from the our founder, Bill, to his son and our current CEO Jared.
03
In the Business of Power Generation
We are a rapidly growing provider of power distribution equipment, serving the infrastructure that the next generation of technology depends on.
LEADERSHIP
The average tenure of our core leadership team is over 13 years and is comprised of self-starters who figured out they could build a career here, and put in the work to do so. Some of them have kids who work alongside them now.
We hire for attitude and train for skill. We bring in exceptional people and invest in their development. We also participate in partnerships with local trade schools and an open our doors for internships. As we tell our people: if you want to grow here, the path exists.

Our new facility in Littleton.
LET'S TALK
We are not a high-pressure sales organization. We will give you the information you need, answer your questions honestly, and tell you if we're not the right fit for your project. We'd rather lose a deal than mislead someone into one.
If what you've read here sounds like the kind of company you want building your power distribution infrastructure, we'd like to hear about your project.
No pressure. Just a conversation.
